- Attraction Description -

【Bedugul】

Bedugul is covered in a mystical cloudy mist year-round, giving it a mysterious appearance, and at 1500m above sea level, the annual average temperature is a comfortable 20 degrees C, for the perfect location to escape from the heat in Bali. Located amid Lake Bratan, the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple is responsible for the goddess of the lake who provides for all the abundant waters. The peaceful lake surface and reflections against it create the amazing scenes of the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. The mystical sights are amazing, and often seen on postcards or photos of the site, and on Indonesia’s currency, the Rupiah!

We will also visit the famous spice market at Pasar Candikuning, where you can find all the treasured flowers and unique Tropical fruits of the surrounding high mountains, along with the abundant variety of spice on sale.

【Pura Taman Ayun】博客來

Taman Ayu means the Beautiful Garden, and the Pura Taman Ayun was once the sight of a Royal Temple, it was used to engage in filial piety through ancestor worship, and in the end of the 19th century when the royal family were dethroned, the Pura Taman Ayun was the only original building remaining. The Temple is surrounded by a small river like moat, and after passing the moat, the eyes take in a vast expanse of verdant gardens. After leaving the gardens to enter the heart of the Temple, there are 19 Temple buildings in order with different heights, forming a holistic site, and the highest Temple serves the God of the Mountain and God of the Sea. When visiting Pura Taman Ayun, it seems as if one has traveled back in time, and compared to visiting the southern Balinese tourist sites, one feels very comfortable and peaceful.

【Tanah Lot】

The Temple of the God of the Sea is known as Tanah Lot, and in Balinese, it means “the Land amid the Sea”. It was built on coral rock sea caves which have been eroded by waves over time and faces the vast Indian Ocean. It is most special because during high tide, it is almost as if a floating island atop the sea. After the high tide departs, and the coastal horizon returns, one can visit the Temple of the God of the Sea. After sunset, the night sky shines reflecting against the waters, and the stones and Temple along the coast form poetic silhouettes, which many travelers long to see when they visit this majestic, awe-inspiring location.
